Our Governance Teams

After working in Australia and overseas for almost ten years in various advertising/media agencies, in 2004 Emma followed her passion to work with underprivileged children and went to Nepal as a volunteer, where she spent a few months working in a poorly run orphanage. Inspired by the spirit of the children and a desire to help provide a better life for these and other vulnerable children in Nepal, she returned shortly after to assess how she could help in a more meaningful way. She established SCAI in Australia then as an INGO in Nepal, and moved to Nepal to oversee SCAI’s projects where she stayed for over 10 years. Emma continues to work closely with the growing team in Nepal across all of SCAI’s projects, and now spreads her time across Nepal, Australia and abroad with her family.
